2008 - 94m.

With a title like this, I felt pretty confident that I would enjoy this flick. The great thing is that it was even more fun than I was expecting. This is thanks to a quick pace, clever dialogue, and either gore or nudity every five minutes. There are no slow stretches in this movie and when things really get going, we are treated to a zombie stripper fight between Jenna Jameson and Sharon Moore featuring ping pong and billiard balls being shot from places they shouldn't be. Director Jay Lee has made a comic book horror flick and he knows exactly what he is doing. He knows what fans of the genre will want to see (as he is clearly one himself) and makes sure that we are not disappointed.

Robert Englund stars as Ian, the owner of a strip club that gets a nifty new gimmick shortly after a soldier who was battling zombies at a nearby research facility finds himself on the run after he gets infected by one of the undead. Tired and sick, he stumbles across the club and decides to lay low. When the lead act named Kat (Jenna Jameson) hits the stage, the soldier suddenly attacks her and tears out her throat. Things seem really bad for Ian's business after this happens until miraculously Kat gets up, goes onstage, and strips like she has never stripped before. The crowd loves it and soon the main attraction at the club is the undead peelers. The other girls catch on and intentionally get themselves turned into zombies so they can cash in on the action and become super-strippers like Kat. Ian's greed takes control and he allows the girls to feed on the patrons and locks the non-stripper zombies in the basement. We all know the party can't last forever and the zombies eventually break out and wreak havoc until a crack commando military team arrives to take care of business.

Director Lee has done a great job of making sure that all members of both the cast and crew of this flick understands the type of movie that they are trying to make. Everyone has fun with the premise and the result is one of the better gore comedies to come out in recent memory. It is good to know that at least some people get it right especially as there have been so many poorly made movies with this style lately. This one is destined to become a cult classic in the years to come. The effects are well done even though some are enhanced with CGI, Englund gives his best performance in years, the cinematography is great, the stripper numbers are well staged, all of the characters have unique personalities. My favorite is the goth stripper named Lilith (Roxy Saint) who has an attitude and looks awesome in schoolgirl attire. Saint is also a singer who contributes a number of songs to the soundtrack. If you are into Hollywood-style industrial rock and roll, you will probably dig Roxy Saint.

Although there is a lot of nudity in this flick, I would not necessarily call it titillating as the strippers start to decompose and become somewhat brackish over the course of the movie. This make-up on the girls is quite extensive and there are plenty of gore gags throughout the flick to satisfy those of us who love effects. We get head crushings, penis munching, head explosions, intestine eating, an amazing head being pulled apart (courtesy of Lilith), and bites galore. There is also an abundance of cleavage on display on everyone from the soldiers to a scientist. This flick brought me back to the glory days of Fred Olen Ray and Jim Wynorski but with better effects and more gore. If you are looking for a fun and entertaining silly horror flick, I don't know what else you could ask for. Look for Tito Ortiz (UFC star and husband of Jenna Jameson) as the bouncer who runs away.
