1956 - 77m.

Bearble 50's schlock has a wacked-out plot that has some people hunting for treasure getting caught up with a voodoo tribe and an American scientist who is using voodoo and modern science to create a monster he can control with his thoughts.

So-so stuff isn't bad it's just (as usual for older horror) pretty tedious, talky and cheap looking. Filmed on minimal sets with plenty of feeble attempts at humour and weak dialogue. At least you can groove to the "Black Voodoo" song and marvel when a character can buy a gun from a bartender for only five dollars(!).

Contains one of the most docile sacrifice victims ever who's mostly quiet apart from the ocassional squeal.
