Alicia Witt and a bevy of young attractive actors attending university start getting killed by a parka-wearing killer who uses urban legends as the theme of the murders.

Competently directed with some okay deaths this big-studio slasher flick has way too many lapses in logic and heavy-handed attempts at humour to work and really won't appeal to anyone but the teenage audience it was intended for since anyone over 18 will easily rip the poorly constructed script to bits.

Pushing on a * 1/2 especially in the weak finale that includes the always useful "hey let's trot out all the dead bodies for the heroine to find". Nothing special.

Followed by two sequels.
