1986 - 87m.

Competently made on the cheap this has a normal guy going crazy when he finds out his wife is cheating on him and after mutilating himself for a bit he escapes from the mental ward and goes on a killing spree.

Watchable low-budgeter gets good marks for being decently produced, well paced and having a script (an early effort from indie horror filmmaker Tim Ritter) that contains more character development and plot than most of the lower-budgeted ones do.

Somehow compelling. Almost a ** 1/2.

Followed by Wicked Games and one other sequel.

Directed By: Yale Wilson.
Written By: Tim Ritter.

Starring: John Brace, Mary Fanaro, Geoffrey Lewis Miller.
