1997 - 99m.

Firstly this fourth installments rating is NOT based on the fact it's a good movie, it's based on the fact that even though it's a pretty bad movie it was so goddamn entertaining I loved it.

The originals co-writer Kim Henkel retreads the story of that murderous Texas clan as some teens fall victim to psycho Matthew McConaughey, Leatherface (who is more a flaming tranvestite than ever before much to my chagrin) and the other nutty members.

Implausible, loaded with cliches and pretty senseless which just adds to its cheesy charm. McConaughey camps it up big-time and is very entertaining in a role he disowned. This is destined to be a cult classic. I love it, but for way different reasons than I love the original.

Filmed in 1993 and shelved for four years due to distribution problems, etc.
