Writer/director Tony Shyu has made a 97 minute movie with about five minutes of actual appeal. Starting off on a tongue-in-cheek note with some okay sarcastic humour ('Stud Wars' is an amusing twenty seconds) and a game cast this soon stumbles as three college friends (led by Joey Lawrence - TV's Blossom - stop gagging) go to Mexico only for our hero Joey to drink some voodoo-ish tequila that gives him weird visions and allows him to go after a supernatural killer that wants the girl he's fallen for (because she's a reincarnation of the spirits cheating wife). It all ends-up in "dead world", a concept that's okay in idea, but shite in doing.
Meandering and a bit muddled this is a wannabe hip thriller/comedy/horror that has a first 15-20 minutes that's okay and the rest becoming a cruel joke on the viewer. Juvenile at times, dull and with a messy final third - this is total crap.
