Adaptation of the Stephen King short story stars Tim Matheson as a teacher who returns to the small town he grew-up in only to start getting harrassed by the revenge wanting ghosts/demons of some greasers who killed his brother when he was younger (which he witnessed) just before being killed by an oncoming train.

Despite a sort of weak finish and the fact main baddie Robert Rusler's character laughs a bit much this is a solid and watchable time and is, in fact, one of the better filmings of King's work (which is even more surprisingly since this is a TV movie).

Director Tom McLoughlin (who did the sixth Friday The 13th film) uses flashbacks effectively and keeps this watchable with okay suspense, acceptable acting and a decent screenplay by Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal. Rusler you may recognize from the second Nightmare On Elm Street movie.

Followed by two sequels.
