Psychologically stable thriller/drama has child psychologist Bruce Willis taking on a new case in distant, loner nine-year-old Haley Joel Osment and slowly learning that the child may just be able to see the dead.
This highest grossing thriller of all-time is sort of slow-starting and has no real suspense for the majority of its running time; but there is a few neat plot twists and a well thought-out script (that's twist ending is not hard to piece together if you think about it).
Satisfying and engrossing, even if nothing much happens for at least half the movie. A very muted and quiet film with steady action, a smart story and some mild humourous touches.
Not quite Oscar worthy (it was nominated for best picture); but above average none-the-less.
