1998 - 95m.

Another case of a cool video box not quite panning out.

Surgeon Arnold Vosloo and wife Jillian McWhirter are over-joyed when it turns out they're going to have a baby, but things quickly turn for the worse when Arnie finds out his wife is impregnated by aliens.

This could've used a huge shot of adrenalin because for the most part it's a listless effort. Vosloo is wooden in the lead and the jelly-like aliens aren't quite convincing, but it is competently made and plays okay on a couple's fears of having a troubled pregnancy.

Sort of ridiculous and much too talky for director Yuzna's standards; this is a sub-standard time. McWhirter gets to spend a good portion of the movie in the buff and there's a few gooey effects, but that's about it.

Frequent Yuzna collaborator Stuart Gordon co-wrote the story.

Directed By: Brian Yuzna.
Written By: Aubrey Solomon.
