1995 - 89m.

Professional looking low-budget slasher flick gives us an okay opening backstory (with plenty of gut stabbing) as a guy throwing a celebratory party is slipped some bad drugs and goes on a murdering rampage (that shows us a ghost sheet stolen directly from Halloween and proves to us you should never insult a guys manhood).

Well, fifteen years later our boy is out of the asylum sporting a Silence Of The Lambs-like mask and a quiet, guilty disposition. At first things aren't too bad as the non-communicating guy downs eight Big Macs, listens to music and generally is peaceful; but you can be sure something is going to trigger it and sure enough a prank by the same people responsible for the earlier one sets our boy in killing mode again.

This good effort has acting that's a bit on the amateurish side (but still okay in general) and sports more character development than usual with a mid-section that's not really horror because of that fact.

Still this is a decent effort that while it may borrow elements from other movies actually comes across with its own identity (which may be attributed to the fact the killer is characterized well and we almost sympathize with him). Gets a little tepid in the final third with a unneeded nudity scene that brings it down; but in general a decent viewing.

Only available for rent at Hollywood Video in the States; but you should be able to get it at the Official Website where you can also take part in their Blair Witch-like web promotion that offers a viewer the chance to pen the sequel.
