1982 - 80m.

Another forgettable horror movie spoof this time with Tom Smothers as a Canadian Mountie who has to try and stop a killer that's knocking off students at a newly reopened cheerleader camp.

After wanting to see this obscure parody for years it's easy to say that even though it's better than most of its type it's still a forgettable and mostly feeble time that piles on the jokes but mostly falls flat.

The cast is a treat with all sorts of character actors (a young Carol Kane, Eileen Brennan, etc.) but the jokes feel dated (and one series of stereotypical Japanese jokes are quite un-politically correct) and the movie just feels bland.

Originally titled Thursday The 12th and obviously retitled to avoid confusion with fellow spoof Saturday The 14th.

Best things here are the "cheerleader ka-bob" and the fact Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens has a bit part; everything else is just there. Teri Landrum (as bubbleheaded Mandy) fares best here and is pretty cute too.

Directed By: Alfred Sole.
Written By: Jaime Klein, Richard Whiteley.

Starring: Tom Smothers, Carol Kane, Miles Chapin, Debralee Scott.
