1993 - 82m.

Produced by well-known indie company Tempe Productions; this retrospective on one of horror's most influential and classic zombie movies from writer/director Tom Brown is a feature-length talk with the filmmakers, fans and industry veterans about George A. Romero's 1968 low-budget gem.

If you're looking to learn a lot about how this now famous effort was produced then this video certainly delivers with an insightful "roundtable" discussion with Romero, co-writer John A. Russo, star/producer Karl Hardman and producer Russell W. Streiner; lots of behind-the-scenes talk and even interviews with such modern filmmakers as Wes Craven and Sam Raimi about what the movie meant to them.

This suffers a tiny bit from some repetitive moments and when Brown attempts to show the films "broad appeal" by having a "new impressions" segement (where some teens are shown the movie for the first time) it doesn't work and is the poorest thing here. Throw in some choppy editing also; but this is still perfect for fans who are interested in how a group of Pittsburgh friends spent one-hundred-and-fourteen-thousand and came out with a now classic movie.
