1997 - 96m.

Muscular adaptation of the Stephen King story has tabloid reporter Miguel Ferrer going on the trail of a vampire killer who's using a Cessena plane to fly into small town airports and kill whoever is unlucky enough to be there.

Stellar filming of King's tale due to its engrossing script and strong direction. Ferrer's character is a pretty unlikeable lout but it suits the story well. There's a lot of visually pleasing moments on show here with some impressive gore effects and it's all tied-up very nicely with the good twist ending.

One of the better films based on King's work.
