1983 - 81m.

In space no-one can hear you groan.

This wannabe Airplane! type movie from director/writer/co-star Bruce Kimmel about a wacky spaceship crew having to deal with a singing, people-eating alien lifeforce they've brought on their ship after receiving a distress call (yes, it's a spoof of Alien) has its dopey moments and some amusingly cheapjack production values; but there's not much else here to recommend.

Sure, the cast is good (Leslie Nielsen, Cindy Williams, Patrick Macnee) but this just stretches for laughs way too much (such as the TV newscast scene) making it a silly movie that's just not that funny.

One of those films that you watch and instantly forget - it's just there. Gerrit Graham (a character actor who's a favourite among horror fans) is the best thing here as the womanizing, white trash-like crew members. See if you can stand the song "I Want To Eat Your Face" for more than a couple of minutes.

May have been retitled it's current moniker to cash-in on Neilsen's success in the Naked Gun films.
