Toho strikes again with this completely harmless and mostly enjoyable off-shot of their Godzilla movies that has Toyko under attack by a giant worm-like creature Mothra (who in the finale changes into a giant moth) that is after two miniature singing twins who have been kidnapped by a greedy entrepreneur/mobster.

If you can forgive that there's no Mothra for about half the movie then you shouldn't mind this lightweight fare that has Frankie Sakai giving okay comic relief as a bumbling reporter, some cheesy miniatures to marvel at (dig those remote controlled Army vehicles complete with action figure men) and silliness that hits its peak in the finale.

As with all Toho efforts it's nowhere near being "classic" but it's always watchable and at least they actually use Asian sounding voices for the American dubbing this time.
