Prism Entertainment took time out from distributing cheesy movies on video to actually help finance one.
Joe McDonald plays Walter, a geeky library researcher who's not a hit with the ladies. But when he stumbles upon a paper about mind control he starts to experiment which gives him powers to control thoughts and actions. The only problem is his hair begins to fall out in clumps and eventually his brain just pops right out his head, sprouts legs and continues to reek havoc.
Low-budget horror/comedy is sort of cheap and junky but watchable enough for fans of cheesy horror with McDonald (in what we assume is intentional) overacting hammily and plenty of low-brow attempts at humour.
Throw in the films obsession with Rubik's Cubes and the fact this has generally okay acting and you have a film that's not as bad as expected despite the fact the finale is totally rotten.
So-so make-up effects (mostly weak) and cancelled out by the junky "living brain".
