Unnecessary straight-to-video sequel to the so-so original has teacher/bug expert Alix Koromzay having to take on another strain of the "Judas" insects in New York while trapped in a school with some of her students and a police detective. Turns out the bugs want her for their very own "special" reasons.
Totally passable and nothing more, this manages to top the weak original on flaws with Koromzay making a weak and lame heroine (she even discusses bug mating habits while on a date for comic relief purposes), some cheesy insect attacks (even though our first good look at the bugs is somewhat cool) and suspense that's so muted it makes this totally passable and just "there".
Adequately directed and Bruno Campos (as the detective) certainly tries but those two things can't make this worth seeing. Even if you liked the original chances are you'll be disappointed. Weak.
