2001 - 99m.
Canada

This laughable slasher flick made an exclusive home video debut in Canada at all Rogers Video locations (like some films go only to Blockbuster's in the States) as one of a series of Canadian shot indie films - too bad it sucks.

Writer-director-producer Paul Stoichevski stars as Leslie, a disturbed and disfigured man who years prior was burned by his parents in a camping accident (yeah, a flaming shish-kabob set a tent on fire he was in while everyone watched - without trying to help) and goes around killing people who make fun of his appearance (though really the script gives little motive).

Opening with an exaggerated sex scene killing (that shows the killers ridiculous medieval helmet and has a decent "spear lift" moment) this soon becomes a tiresome "psychological" slasher movie with amateurish acting that tries to make you feel for the killer while throwing out a bunch of murder scenes.

Attempts at humour tend to fail and the script is nothing if a snoozer; but there's a pretty cool torture moment involving metal cutters and a drill - if there's little else to recommend here.

Check out the lousy electrocution moment (they're having a shower but there's water up to above their ankles - hmm...), the fact our killer can easily steal a huge bottle of acid from his high school science class with no-one noticing and the really bad actress who plays the killer's mom.

Don't bother.
