1976 - 95m.

A disturbing as Hell opening sequence set on a train is our introduction to young man Martin (John Amplas) who uses needles to drug up victims and drink their blood. He goes to stay with his elderly uncle Cuda (Lincoln Maazel) who calls him "Nosferatu" and threatens to destroy him if he kills anymore. But is Martin really a vampire or just mental?

Director Romero brings us a fairly gripping and smartly written film. It holds your attention, is very off-beat and the cast is good with its only real shortcoming a weak finale.

Romero wrote, edited and plays one of the priests; his wife Christine Forrest acts in it as does make-up effects man Tom Savini (looking odd without his moustache).
