Another slasher flick with a teenage target audience that looks to urban legends for its premise. This time it's a hook handed killer that's bumping off teenagers especially when they go off to "Lovers Lane" alone. Of course there's a dark secret buried in the script and a twist ending that's for the most part tacky.
There's a cliched topless sex opening and a early scene that'll have you thinking, "who takes their little girl to a crime scene?" but in general it's a competently made low-budget slasher that plays fairly agreeably up until it falls apart and is crippled by too many logic lapses in the finale.
Tepid and nothing special but okay if you're not expecting much and where else can you see Richard "Les Nessman" Sanders playing a nutjob? As expected cliches fly and there's some weak attempts at humour (like when to calm one guy down a girl flashes him only for it to be followed by a lame one-liner) but it's bearably silly.
Erin J. Dean is actually pretty darn charismatic in the lead role. Just remember, "Prison Food Sucks!".
