1978 - 90m.

Fairly obscure clone of Carrie starring Lisa Pelikan as the title young lady who has to deal with the snobby girls at the private school she's attending on scholarship and her religious fanatic father who's convinced she has the power to control snakes.

Well said power comes in handy when she heads for revenge on her classmates.

So-so American International drive-in fodder is dopey all the way and pretty tame for its type but manages to be bearable if nothing at all memorable.

Fun to hear the soulful belting of the title tune and to see Bert Convy and his 'fro of doom. An odd failure.

Directed By: Brice Mack.
Written By: Kay Cousins Johnson.

Starring: Lisa Pelikan, Bert Convy, Nina Foch, Amy Johnston.
