Out in the Ozarks there lives a farmer who's property has a nice deep cave on it. In said cave is a reptile monster that he feeds by kidnapping tourists who happen to stop by. Along comes dinosaur expert Tommy Kirk and married couple Shirley Bonne and Billy Thurman who are captured by our nutty farmer and have to try and escape before being fed to the beast.
Seemingly pointless stuff from writer/director Buchanan (of Mars Needs Women fame) is talky and we could care less about it even if we can laugh at the minimal production design, paper mache caves, a really pathetic monster attack (which looks like an amateur-made Halloween costume) and the priceless evil laugh our farmer lets loose after shooting Kirk.
Only when we're shown a flashback that tells of how the housekeeper was captured does this sort of work as it's an honest attempt at psychological horror (too bad the acting is so weak). A complete yawner and worth missing; but if you must watch just wonder how come the housekeeper can seemingly come and go into their cages as she wishes but doesn't just let them free.
