In modern day, hundreds of years old vampire Brad Pitt tells reporter Christian Slater about his journies and mentor Lestat (finely played by Tom Cruise).

Dynamic first half is lessened by the bland second making this a slow-paced, but watchable time with a fairly intelligent script and good acting.

If it wasn't for that last hour it'd probably be the top horror movie of the year. Sadly goes downhill once Cruise's character is killed.
