A little while back I had the privledge to see director Ford's short of the same name on Creaturealm:From The Dead. Now he's expanded that short, added some new footage and changed the editing around to make it feature length.

The story about an ousted 40's make-up man turning to voodoo and resurrecting the two famous horror stars he's murdered to cause havoc is the same but it's just not as satisfying. All the elements I liked so much about the original are there (it's respect for classic horror, it's sarcastic humour and the interesting premise) but it suffers when the new scenes are added, they just don't seem to gell too well with what was a winner short to begin with. New scenes with mirror reflections that talk and some deaths just seem more inappropriate than anything.

Still a decent little independent film, but to see the story at its best see the original also. Recommended.
