1975 - 84m.

Genre legend Christopher Lee does the intro/outro for this obscure low-budgeter that has four students setting-out to do a drunken prank on their supernatural-believing professor and ending up killing his wife, two kids and the family dog. They leave the prof for dead and the rest of the movie follows the vengeance dished-out by the demon that the professor conjoured from his hospital bed.

The first thing you have to give this credit for is the fact writers Keith Burns and Ray Atherton must have done some hefty research before coming-up with the premise and it pays-off at times because it gives interesting background to an otherwise standard creature. There's also some ghost imagery that's at times effective and a cool car hood death making this a not spectacular (but not too bad) effort that plays at an okay enough pace to be watchable.

A little dated and a little limited in budget but done with enough gumption to be a okay timewaster at least. So obviously titled as it was to cash in on the previous years "chainsaw" movie.
