2002 - 72m.

As part of the reality television show, "Chill Challenge", five stereotypically different twenty-something women are forced to spend the night in a supposedly haunted former asylum where they have to face their fears in order to win a cool million dollars. Well it's not all fun and games when it turns out the place is haunted by some really nasty hooded demon-like creatures that love to pull out people's guts.

With a set-up that's well thought out by writer Trent Haaga and sporting a decent back story this sophomore effort by director Danny Draven (HorrorVision) is a competent little low-budget film that has a slew of okay gore (the fireplace scene is the best one here) and is well-shot but suffers from "challenges" that feel a little weak (considering the attitude of modern television viewers), the fact this is lacking any real thrills and a final pay-off that sort of sucks. Still it's a good effort despite being only a so-so film.

DVD INFORMATION

Picture Ratio: 1:85:1 Widescreen.

Picture Quality: Tends to look a little fuzzy at times but it's nothing that's distracting.

Extras: The best feature here is the bonus feature of Low Budget Picture's Mulva:Zombie Ass Kicker! but there's also the expected trailers, a "director's diary" that's an okay look at the filmmakers viewpoint (despite the fact Draven constantly proclaims how he, "looks like sh*t", the "Cup O' Joe" interview with Joe Estevez (what a weirdo!), a bunch of cast interviews, a still gallery, a so-so outtake reel and finally a fairly decent commentary track. In others words all the features we've come to expect from a Tempe Video release.
