1981 - 104m.

Famous cartoonist Michael Caine loses his hand in a freak car accident (and what an amusing one it is) which leads him to getting a job teaching, seperating with his wife and going quite nutty as people start getting murdered by what he thinks may just be his severed hand.

Early directorial effort by Oliver Stone is interesting to see only if you want to see Stone doing a standard genre picture, but otherwise it's just a mediocre time that plays okay but has minimal suspense, is a mite tedious and is loaded with lots of throat chokings but no thrills.

Caine's character is a bit abrasive which doesn't help either and the hand (while okay) looks a bit rubbery; but overall it's a passable time.
