2002 - 29m.

Tongue-in-cheek horror/comedy marks the first effort of writer/director Jeff Hayes (who's best known for running sleepawaycampmovies.com) as it tells the humourous story of an elderly grandmother (played by Hayes' real-life one, Barbara O'Connor) who has had enough of her snotty granddaughter and whiny son and resorts to murder and, eventually, cannibalism.

This morbid little slice of fun is just too damn funny! Granny's got lots of priceless dialogue, there's competent gore effects (the moment with the "ice pick" is pretty cool) and the garage scene has a few unsettling moments. Barbara O'Connor is perfect (and quite hilarious) as granny, which is okay because it makes up for James P. O'Connor, Jr.'s overacting as her son.

It's a family affair for Hayes as most of the cast is made up of relatives save for the cameos by Sleepaway Camp'ers Felissa Rose (she played Angela) and Robert Hiltzik (he wrote and directed). Jeff has confirmed a sequel in the making - I can't wait!
