1988 - 89m.

Known by fans as "Jason Vs. Carrie" this seventh entry in the series starts with a lengthly flashback intro (that lets us briefly share the "glory" of the other six films) before it introduces us to telekinetic teen Lar Park Lincoln who returns to the summer home by the lake at which she accidently killed her father with doctor Terry Kiser and mom Susan Blu. Well guess what happens when she also accidently uses her powers to bring Jason back from the bottom of the lake. Lucky for our masked killer there's also a gaggle of horny youngsters renting the house next door.

As directed by effects man Buechler this is one tiresome sequel. I mean Jason is certainly looking cool all rotted and eaten by fish, it's always nice to see Elizabeth Kaitan (and she even gets naked) and there's a memorable sleeping bag death; but generally this is a sucky sequel that throws out a script angle (the telekinesis) without giving it enough exploration and is loaded with pretty uncreative deaths and an underwhelming final showdown.

It starts on a brisk enough pace but it eventually slows down into a lengthy blend of Jason killing and stalking while Lincoln's character freaks out and lets her powers throw things about (these moments are quite cheesy, especially the television hurl).

Chuckle at the party horn moment and be mildly impressed when Jason's mask splits down the middle; then forget the whole thing.
