1987 - 110m.

What do you get when you cross a zombie movie, slasher flick and a supernatural tale? You get this hodge-podge of ideas written by Freeman Williams, the bad movie loving critic over at Bad Movie Report.

It's got to do with a guy who's friends and brother are killed by a demonic slasher type zombie who sets-out after the cult responsible with the help of a female reporter.

Starting with a decent opening sequence (apart from the gunshot effects) and with acting better than most of this budget level (it's still wooden though); this tedious effort has some good ideas but just can't pull them off.

We get lots of silly banter between the actors, a naked girl in the shower with her guts ripped-out and a little bit of zombie mayhem to try and liven it up. It's just that the horror sequences are so poorly staged and the supernatural mystery twist slows it down so much (to the point of dulling a movie that was originally moving at a fairly quick pace) that it becomes more unintentionally amusing than horrific. Gets points for trying to have a different story than usual.

There's lots of sloppy gore effects on hand also and the cult in the film has got to be one of the most inactive cults in horror film history (they certainly don't do a heck of a lot towards their cause).

The most entertaining thing about this movie? Williams' journal of making the film on his webpage.
