2001 - 94m.

Let's be honest, most "killer bat" movies suck - and suck hard. Fangs is a generally silly entry in the sub-genre but at least it's watchable in a TV movie kind-of-way.

In the town of Scottsville a series of bat attacks start to occur right before an "apple harvest" dance and local vet Whip Hubley and transplanted big city detective Tracy Nelson have to team-up and figure out how to stop the creatures and whether or not greedy land developer Corbin Bernsen is involved somehow.

Written by sitcom veteran Jim Geoghan (who wrote scripts for such "classics" as Three's Company, Silver Spoons, The Facts Of Life and Family Matters to name a handful) this is certainly unserious in tone and comes across as a harmless little B-movie thanks to an alright cast (Bernsen is the best and has become quite a reliable genre character actor), some mildly amusing humour and bat effects that aren't as bad as expected.

However, the smart aleck tone of the film does get tiring eventually and it's not exactly the best "nature run amuck" movie made - but at least it's bearable (and better than 1999's Bats).
