Fun Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers redux for the teen set has a group of high school students getting very suspicious of the weird behaviour of their teachers and some of their peers only to find it's all an invasion by some water-based aliens.

Entertaining effort from director Rodriquez and Scream scribe Kevin Williamson may borrow plot elements from films such as 1982's The Thing but it's loaded with a likeable young cast (that includes Elijah Wood and Josh Hartnett), a ton of witty in-jokes, muscular direction and some decent effects. It helps too that it seems to be a semi-spoof of teenage high school movies.

Robert Patrick (known to most as the bad cyborg in Terminator 2) and Piper Laurie (of Carrie) make fun possessed teachers and while this gets a little too overwrought in the finale it's still an enjoyably goofy time. Recommended for those days you feel silly.
