After the death of her husband, Maren Jensen and two friends are terrorized on their rural farm and they think it's the nearby Amish-like Hittites (led by nutty Ernest Borgnine) that are doing it since they like to call Jensen a "Incubus".
Competently done early effort from Craven keeps your interest okay and has some decent moments of suspense but its biggest fault has to be the fact that it's a tad too slow going for my liking.
A curious effort with a so-so shock ending, this is still better than the slasher flicks that were glutting the market at the time. Craven later used the bathtub scenes idea in 1984's A Nightmare On Elm Street.
