2002 - 94m.

Another straight-to-video monster flick from Twentieth Century Fox this time assembling a young cast to go through the motions as a shapeshifting (and quite nasty) "hybrid" werewolf is hunting down waitress Samaire Armstrong (who it turns out is the last of the "pure breed" of werewolves) while killing anyone who gets in the way. On hand to protect her is cop Ryan Alosio.

Underwhelming effort has some familiar genre faces in roles (Kane Hodder, Tippi Hedren and Steven Williams) and a mostly appealing twenty-something cast; but it suffers from having effects that are weak (especially the CGI transformation moments which just suck) and a poor finale but it is steadily directed and has a few well staged attack sequences (the first one and the one in the restaurant bathroom stand out) to make it just rank above the rating it would've gotten otherwise.

The best way to describe this would be that it has an okay genre script by first-timer Geoffrey Alan Holliday that's betrayed by low-grade (and at times sloppy) effects and too many obvious weaknesses.
