1998 - 78m.

After a four year hiatus Full Moon brings back those evil puppets for this sixth entry in their most popular series.

Turns out the puppets are now property of Malgrew (decently played by George Peck) who uses them as an attraction in his "gallery of the bizarre" exhibit. But it seems Malgrew has other motives as he brings slower-minded Robert (Josh Green who does well also) to help him create the ultimate "living puppet" while our favourite puppet pals decide to take bloody revenge on anyone who hurts their friends.

Watchable, if a bit thin on plot, sequel sports decent production values, acceptable acting and some pleasing gore while mostly recapturing the spirit of the first three parts (even bringing back the original theme music) even if the first two-thirds doesn't have much of the puppets.

Entertaining enough with a great moment where a slimeball would-be rapist gets it really good.

Followed by Retro Puppet Master.

Directed By: Victoria Sloan (David DeCoteau).
Written By: Benjamin Carr.

Starring: George Peck, Emily Harrison, Josh Green, Michael Guerin.
