1979 - 92m.
Thailand

Up there with 1977's Tentacles as one of the worst Jaws clones of the 70s this is yet another low-budget and low-grade entry into the "nature run amuck" sub-genre that glutted many a drive-in in the 70's.

Opening with the devistation of a island village by a hurricane this soon has a giant atomically mutated crocodile chomping down on unexpecting people while a doctor (who's family was chewed on by the croc) teams-up with a fellow doctor and a boat captain to confront the beast at sea (and to bring a finale that totally rips-off Jaws almost as much as 1980's Great White did).

Cheap and inane stuff that suffers not only because generally it's a crappy movie (the crocodile attacks suck and are always pre-warned on by showing the beasts eye opening) and it's a complete rip-off; but also because the American distributors have dubbed it badly and it's choppily edited. Throw in the fact it's sort of boring, the effects are poor (at times the croc looks not so "giant") and it's laughable most of the time (just how does the croc create whirlpools?) and you have this total waste of film.

The boat sink finish isn't horrible and it does have a pretty amusing 70's horror music score; but it still stinks. However it may just be better than Tobe Hooper's movie of the same name that came out in 2000.
