1988 - 85m.

Whereas the first movie was an entertaining monster flick, this sequel goes straight for tongue-in-cheek (I mean, just look at the sub-title!) and loads the cast with tons of familiar television faces in roles (I counted no less than five with Norman Fell, Robert Vaughn and others embarassing themselves). Brian Robbins (of TV's Head Of The Class and now a director of such films as Varsity Blues) stars as a high schooler who accidently lets loose a top secret Government corpse (dubbed "Bud") that just so happens to be infected with the C.H.U.D. virus. From there the teens have to try and stop our escaped zombie as he runs around town infecting everyone.

Filled with lame-brained humour and lacking even in cartoony gore this is probably one of the worst sequels on the books (it even joins the much maligned, Troll 2, on the list) with only character actor Gerrit Graham (as "Bud") worthwhile admist the mix of slapstick, jokes and various other groanable moments. I'm not quite sure why they gave an "R" rating to what's essentially a watered down "PG-13" copy of a Return Of The Living Dead movie (right down to the zombies saying "meat!" instead of "brains!").

Tiring, unfunny and embarassing; writer Ed Naha even took his name off the credits replacing it with another unfunny pun "M. Kane Jeeves".
