1989 - 96m.

Talk about a failure.

Herbert West (Jeffrey Combs) and Dan Cain (Bruce Abbott) are back and up to more re-animation hijinks when they decide to create a patchwork human from body parts starting with Cain's dead girlfriend's heart.

As twisted and off-beat as the original and loaded with a bunch of gore this is still a disappointing, and pretty miserable, sequel to the cult original.

Tedious, lacking in the wit of the original and more ridiculous than entertaining this isn't at all good despite Combs wacky performance and a cool two-sided zombie.

Stifle a chuckle when the "My God they're using tools..." line comes up.

Review based on unrated version.

Followed by Beyond Re-Animator.
