Even though director Coppola is considered one of film's greatest filmmakers his take on Stoker's classic novel just doesn't fly.

Gary Oldman plays the title bloodsucker who needs blood to live and caught up in his plot are reporter Keanu Reeves, innocent virgin Wynona Ryder and vamp hunter Anthony Hopkins.

While this is visually pleasing it's unfortunately boring, over-acted and at times confusing fare.

Was quite the hit in theatres, but mostly it just sucks (pun intended). (Chris Hartley)
