The first compilation effort from Flix Mix (who promise "nothing but the good stuff") is a collection of scenes from horror movies that includes the genre's heavyweights (Jason, Freddy, etc.), the never weres (the Dentist, The Ugly's Simon) and the "why?"s (Leprechaun, Jack Frost).
This is certainly edited slickly and is good for horror newbies but basically it all boils down to appealling only to those needing gore without any plot getting in the way.
Big-time horror fans (such as myself) can only question the choices as some are decent but a couple could've been much better (they should have picked another clip from the Friday The 13th series than the one they did).
Overall it's a decent package that can be viewed once then cast aside. Flix Mix would next offer a compilation of fight scenes entitled The Ultimate Fights - and I'm sure there's more to come.

DVD INFORMATION
Picture Ratio: Full Frame (a few sequences are 1.85:1 widescreen).
Picture Quality: Clip quality varies from very good, to a few with a bit of fuzziness. Generally it's fine though.
Extras: At least they loaded this with extras. There's trailers to all the films (the menu in which is hidden the Jack Frost 2 scene), bios on each killer, "name that frame" game which annoyingly kept getting stuck on the same picture, a cool "animated trivia" feature that's like Pop-Up Video and finally a so-so commentary by Robert "Freddy" Englund.
