Expanded version of writer/director Matthew Jason Walsh's short "I've Killed Before" (which is referrenced by being written on the wall in blood at the first murder scene) with the same two leads and a spiffy credits sequence that has a bunch of gore scenes strung together.
Ariauna Albright plays a twenty-something woman who learns the identity of the serial killer that's been terrorizing the area for some time (played with aplomb by James L. Edwards) and forces him to teach her how to kill. Along the way they fall in love and it's revealed that Edwards killed her sister a few years back.
Obviously meant as a satricial poke-in-the-ribs to violence in society this low-budgeter certainly has oodles of ambition and decent leads but suffers a little bit from being a bit sloppy on the whole "police investigation" thing (in fact it's not even touched upon apart from the opening scene), having a completely out-of-place "video store" moment (that gives cast member Tina Krause the chance to play a ditzy stoner girl who only manages to get on your nerves - and proves even more Krause is a poor actress) and being a little underdeveloped in some areas. However, there is a twisted "this little piggy" moment, the notorious "exploding baby" scene and a smiler of a "slugfest" finale (that has an okay twist too).
While not as good as the short it's based on (though most people involved hate the short) if you can forgive its few short-comings you'll get a watchable serial killer flick.

DVD INFORMATION
Picture Ratio: Full Frame.
Picture Quality: This isn't the greatest picture because it seems quite fuzzy and lacking in clarity.

(boy, does Sasha Graham look different!), three short deleted scenes, a still gallery, review snippets, three trailers (plus trailers to 6 other Tempe releases), the original short "I've Killed Before" that includes a commentary with producer Ron Bonk, liner notes by J.R. Bookwalter and a decent commentary track by writer/director Walsh and stars Albright and Edwards.
