1971 - 72m.

Or "Drugs are bad, you will turn into a monster!".

It's very hard to write a review for this film. The reason? Because you've never quite seen anything like it.

Steve Hawkes (who co-directed) stars as a motorbike riding war vet who meets up with two sisters, one a devout Christian; the other a pot smoking baddie. Well things turn to the worst when he gets hooked on some nasty weed and, after getting a job at a poultry farm and eating experimental turkey, is turned into a blood-lusting turkey headed creature. Sound groovy yet?

Everything I've heard about this one rings true. This, my friends, is the ultimate guilty pleasure.

Bizarre as Hell with a long list of memorable moments (listed here for your enjoyment): dig the funky music, thrill as narrator (and co-director) Grinter chain smokes while reading his lines off the table (before having the infamous, and quite intentional, coughing fit in his final monologue), groove to how much Hawkes resembles Elvis in the early going, get funky with the hilarious dialogue, chill to the scene that has Hawkes smoking one joint and laughing maniacally, scream "right on" to the laughably cheap turkey monster and just enjoy the ride.

Must be seen to be believed, and I could go on listing my favourite moments, but this review is long enough already.
