Virtually plotless first effort from writer/director Jackson follows some elite government agents who are out to stop some aliens that have come to Earth to chew on humans as a source of fast food.

Debut low-budget affair shows Jackson is influenced by Sam Raimi but has a style all his own which is quite evident in the slapstick gore and twisted humour peppered throughout.

Sort of "blah", but gets good marks for ambition and having some neat cheapjack gore. Jackson's later work would be more polished, but this is an okay start for a director who's been emulated since by such movies as Body Melt and Zombie Toxin. (Chris Hartley)
