While 2007 had a few down notes, most of them at the hands of disappointing sequels and some clueless Hollywood fare, the year was truly an upswing for horror fans over previous ones. There was enough variety amongst this year's genre flicks that no matter what specific type of fright film you enjoy (be it slashers, vampires, or supernatural) there was sure to be something out there to whet your appetite.
