Feature length debut for TerrorOptics is a Troma inspired (right down to the self deprecating jabs at themselves) slasher riff that has a small town being terrorized by, well, a cockface killer. Really it's a mentally handicapped teenager who wears a grotesque mask with a rubber penis on the chin who enjoys tearing up his victims in gory ways usually during or just after they've either had sex or "satisfied" themselves.
The opening sequence sets the goofy tone for this one and yeah it's a tasteless title and theme (so what!) but there's a lot here to like: the killer is certainly cool looking, the gore isn't that bad, it's directed fine and the soundtrack is pretty bad-ass; the problem though is that sometimes an amateurish side pops-up and a lot of this feels improvised and plotted on the fly. This just helps to hamper the story and the piles of pointless banter the characters spew doesn't really help either.
What I'm trying to say is that this really doesn't go anywhere. It's to be commended for being pretty polished and having some inspired moments, but I think TerrorOptics have to put a bit more focus on plot. And just where did that Night Of The Living Dead finale come from?

DVD INFORMATION
Picture Ratio: Full Frame.
Picture Quality: This looks much better than a lot of similiarly budgeted films with only a few moments of instability.
Extras: Not a bad batch of extras here with a pretty enjoyable commentary track, a mildly amusing "making of" with interviews and deleted scenes and a short still gallery. A great extra you can get from their webpage (for a measley 3 bucks!) is the soundtrack CD.
