1998 - 74m.

Sasha Graham and Mick McCleery return from the original as the vampire queen and ex-serial killer turned vampire hunter respectively for this utterly disappointing prequel. Seems Graham operates a sect of vampires in New York while McCleery wanders around aimlessly. There's also something to do with the sect being pissed about certain individuals being vampirized when they don't deserve to be, but it's all a big jumbled mess plot-wise.

Director/writer Lindenmuth still shows some style as a director and there are a few decent scattered moments but the biggest problem here is the script which erratically jumps between many unneeded characters and leaves tons of loose-ends.

Stick with the original which is still one of my favourite independent horrors in recent years.
